THE YUEL FAMILY GIFTS $250,000 FOR HOPE’S HOME CLASSROOM
Saskatoon SK- In support of the “There’s No Place Like Hope” capital campaign, the Yuel Family has gifted $250,000 to support one of the classrooms to make medically inclusive child care accessible for more families.
Each classroom will have dedicated areas for arts and crafts, storytime, nap time and open play zones, all thoughtfully designed to enhance a child’s developmental journey. A direct connection to a spacious outdoor play area allows children to explore the outside world safely, promoting physical activity and social engagement. To further support children with restricted mobility, the classrooms will include ceiling tracks, providing versatile positioning options and encouraging peer interaction. This feature fosters inclusivity and facilitates the integration of physical therapy exercises within the classroom setting. Nursing care is provided directly in the classroom, allowing children to receive the medical care they need without leaving their environment, while promoting an inclusive environment for all kids.

Saskatoon’s first medically inclusive child care centre features two separate centres caring for 144 children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old. On-site nursing care, early childhood educators, developmental workers, and physical development consultants provide Saskatoon families with a safe and inclusive environment where children receive the necessary care.
With more than 50% of the $8.6 million fundraising goal achieved, Hope’s Home has opened one side of the centre. Every moment counts, and we need your support to finish Saskatoon’s first medically inclusive child care centre, allowing Hope’s Home to assist even more families.
