Meet Kaylie – Physical Development Consultant

How long have you been with Hope’s Home?
I have been with Hope’s Home for 1 ½ years.

What is your role at Hope’s Home?
I am the Physical Development Consultant at our JP Early Learning Centre. In this role, I work closely with our children, their families, and support teams to develop personalized therapy plans that meet each child’s unique needs and help them achieve their goals every day. With my background as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, I bring a specialized lens to each child’s Personal Program Plan, focusing on inclusion, meaningful movement, and supporting overall development. I also partner with local organizations to organize inclusive community activities, such as our recent Wheelchair Basketball Clinics with the Saskatchewan Wheelchair Sports Association.

Why did you choose to work at Hope’s Home?
Being part of a team that supports all children to grow, learn, and thrive in a safe and loving environment aligns perfectly with both my professional goals and personal values. Hope’s Home isn’t just a workplace, it is truly a community where every child is celebrated, and I am proud to be part of that mission every day.

What is a fun fact about you?
I am a certified National Lifeguard and swimming lesson instructor, and I have swam in both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. One of my most memorable experiences was snorkeling with sea turtles larger than me. They swam right up next to me, so close that I reached out my hand and they glided underneath it. My dog, Milo, also enjoys the water just as much as I do!
