Meet Brooklynn – Nurse, Brookdale Supportive Living

Brooklynn has been part of the Hope’s Home family since earning her nursing degree in 2020. As a Registered Nurse at Brookdale Supportive Living, she plays an important role in creating a safe, nurturing home for children with complex medical needs while supporting them through every stage of their journey.

Brooklynn first discovered Hope’s Home when two boys she knew from previous work moved into the Brookdale home. She had never seen a place like it before. Knowing they would grow up in a supportive, home-like environment left a lasting impression and helped shape the path she would take after graduating.

After moving cities to join the Brookdale team, Brooklynn had the unique privilege of helping care for those same boys as they grew and eventually transitioned into adult living. Since then, she has supported many incredible children, walking alongside them through milestones, transitions, and meaningful everyday moments.

Through her role, Brooklynn provides compassionate, individualized care while helping ensure each child feels safe, valued, and at home. Her work includes supporting children with complex medical needs while also helping them experience joy, comfort, and connection.

For Brooklynn, the relationships she builds are the most meaningful part of her work.

“Caring for and raising children alongside my coworkers at Brookdale has truly been an honour. The work we do is deeply personal and meaningful. The only people who can truly understand what Hope’s Home means are the people who make Hope’s Home… home.”

One moment she will always cherish is spending a special day helping one of the children she cared for prepare for a staff Christmas party. That experience, and many others like it, continue to shape her perspective and remind her to bring love, joy, and intention to every day she spends with the children in her care.
