Meet Mishwa – Developmental Worker

From starting as a casual staff member to now working full-time, Mishwa has been part of the Hope’s Home family for quite some time. In their role as a Developmental Worker, Mishwa plays an important part in helping children grow, reach milestones, and feel included in every aspect of their day.

With a background in kinesiology and a lifelong passion for working with children, Mishwa was drawn to Hope’s Home for its inclusive environment — one that supports both typically developing children and those with complex medical needs. Through their work, they help children participate in daily routines, build new skills, and experience the joy of belonging in a space designed for everyone.

“Hope’s Home gives me the opportunity to combine my education, skills, and passion to make a meaningful impact in children’s lives.”

Outside of work, Mishwa brings their creativity to everything they do — from designing engaging activities for the kids to finding small ways to make everyday moments brighter and more fun.

At Hope’s Home, we’re grateful for team members like Mishwa who bring compassion, creativity, and energy to every child they support.
