Meet the Team: Brett, Physical Development Consultant

At Hope’s Home, every team member plays an important role in helping children reach their full potential. This month, we’re excited to introduce Brett, our Physical Development Consultant, who has been part of the Hope’s Home family for nearly two years.

As Physical Development Consultant, Brett works closely with Community Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists to support the unique developmental needs of children in our care. His role includes implementing hands-on physical therapies for children with medical needs and providing guidance to Developmental Workers as they help children build communication, self-help, and accessibility skills.

This collaborative approach ensures that therapy goals are incorporated into each child’s daily routine, helping them develop skills through meaningful experiences and play-based learning.

Brett’s passion for working with children is what first drew him to Hope’s Home.

“I have always had a passion for working with children. I love that Hope’s Home focuses on play as the foundation for development. Through play, children develop and grow each day in remarkable ways. I am amazed at what each child is able to accomplish.”

With a degree in Kinesiology and a background in health-related fields, Brett brings valuable knowledge and experience to his role. His education allows him to work closely with families, therapists, and healthcare professionals to provide holistic care and help ensure therapies are successfully implemented throughout each child’s day.

One of the most rewarding aspects of his work is seeing the progress children make over time and celebrating the milestones they achieve along the way.

And for a fun fact? Brett once jumped out of a plane from 10,000 feet while skydiving!
