Hope’s Home Announces Transition of Warman Operations

Hope’s Home has announced its plan to transition out of its Warman location effective June 26, 2026, following careful review and consultation with the Ministry of Education and school division partners. The organization is working closely with the school division as it launches an RFP to identify a new operator, with the goal of keeping children and as many staff as possible together to support continuity of care.

After nine years in the community, the decision comes because of a declining number of children in Warman requiring nursing care, which has created a growing gap between services offered at this location and Hope’s Home’s core mandate.

“As an organization dedicated to medically inclusive care, we must ensure all of our locations have the resources needed to support children with complex medical needs. Unfortunately, Warman’s changing needs no longer align with that mission. This decision is not a reflection of the excellent staff or families—rather; it reflects the shifting landscape of nursing needs in the community. When we first opened, we were informed that there were many children in the area who required nursing care; however, our waitlists and enrollment did not see the level of uptake we anticipated.” – Lisa Wyatt, CEO of Hope’s Home

Hope’s Home is committed to working collaboratively with partners to support a smooth and compassionate transition and remains hopeful that many children and staff will remain in place under a new operator chosen by the school board.

Hope’s Home will continue focusing on its services in communities with the greatest demand for medically complex childcare. The organization extends its sincere gratitude to the Warman community for its support over the past nine years.
