Job Summary.

Hope’s Home is currently seeking a Temporary Full Time Finance Administrator for our Regina office. Under the supervision of Hope’s Home CFO, the role of Finance Administrator oversees and maintain the daily financial records of the organization as per company policies. The Finance Administrator works with assigned locations of the organization managing day to day accounting functions.

Responsibilities.

Month-End:

    • Bank, revenue, and other reconciliations.
    • Any other items related to month-end.
    • Journal Entries including payroll, etc.
    • Prepare balance sheet schedule as required.

Payroll:

    • Enter bi-weekly payroll information and provide paystubs in a timely manner; ensure accuracy of payroll information entered and submit to the bank.
    • Plan T4 process.
    • Time and Attendance system implementation.

Internal Control and Processes:

    • Review the internal control process for its practicality.
    • Develop, maintain, and update procedures.
    • Develop flow diagrams for processes.
    • Support CFO to develop/update/maintain organizational policies.

Billing/Accounts Receivable:

    • Complete monthly billing and meet strict deadlines.
    • Obtained CFO approval for external billing.
    • Reconcile daycare revenue. Follow up with the locations for any discrepancy.
    • Monthly revenue reconciliation with month-end.
    • Provide copy of AR age analysis to each location each month.
    • Prepare accurate year-end daycare statements.

Accounts Payable/Invoicing:

    • Enter payable into the system timely manner.
    • Ensure credit terms are applied.
    • Ensure bi-weekly cheque runs adhere to internal processes.

Cash Management:

    • Provide information to CFO as required.
    • Deposit cheques on a weekly basis.
    • Advise the locations on debit machine use.

Receipting/ Fundraising:

    • Provide receipting information within two days after a deposit occurs.

Other Duties:

    • Maintain Fixed Assets Listing.
    • Support CFO to submit GST and Tax filing.
    • Upload documents to Finance shared drive.
    • Follow professional development goals that align with the organization’s goals.- Support organizational goals and new initiatives as directed by CFO.

Qualifications.

    • Completed at least some post-secondary.
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word.
    • Strong understanding and appreciation of deadlines and commitment to schedules.
    • Previous experience with an accounting system would be an asset.
    • Ability to work closely with location supervisors as a team contributor.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Excellent communication, teamwork and time management skills.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to maintain confidential information as it relates to personnel functions and sensitive business information.

 

Job Type: Temporary Full Time. Term ending May 31st, 2022.

Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8 hour shifts.

Location: Regina

Salary: $18.00-$21.00/hr
